The Social Transformation Network (STN) is a member-controlled network of individuals and organizations that are committed to non-coercive social transformation that enhances human potential. The STN is not a new organization, but a network that facilitates expertise location and the exchange of trusted introductions, intelligence and influence.  

The purpose of the network is not nearly as inspiring as the actual work that its current and intended members are committed to.  And yet, participation in the network will make that work more successful. 

The network is based on trusted personal and organizational connections that already exist.   The entire purpose of the Social Transformation Network is to make this vast web of personal connections much more accessible, useful, and effective. 

The people who will get most  from participating in the network are those who frequently need to make trusted new connections, for example,  to get new knowledge and ideas; to find and reference check potential new hires, consultants, and advisors; or to find funding and partners.

For those with a less frequent need to make new connections, the network provides a much more effective way to make your expertise known and accessible, and to contribute your social capital to help the organizations and causes you support.  In addition, the network is there when you do need it.

Membership in the STN is free and open to all professionals who work in or contribute in other ways to organizations, agencies, and foundations committed to sustainable social development, including work in these fields:

• Environmental protection.
• Economic development,
• Civic effectiveness and citizen participation.
• Social Justice and equal opportunity,
• Education,
• Health care, housing, and social welfare
